In honor of National Reading Month, we had guest readers from the West Fargo Girls Basketball Team, Fargo Force Hockey, and NDSU Football players! Here are some of the highlights. :)
Our fourth graders had a cool time at our Frozen Celebration this December! We had frozen punch, played "Do You Want to Build a Snowman?", and played Minute-to-Win-it Games. Thank you to Carrie S. for coming in to take pictures! Our classroom helper Rhea came back to help us celebrate. Thanks to Kami's sister for helping us with games. Thank you Parents for supplying us with craft items to make our holiday wall décor/ornaments.
Our class filled our Greatness Jar! For our greatness celebration the kids chose to read to the 1st graders. We are so happy Mrs. Kragnes' class joined us for some partner reading time. We had so much fun!
We had our fall celebration on October 30th last week. The kids had a blast making banana mummies and playing minute-to-win-it games! Here are some recaps from the big day.
We have been doing some magic in 4th grade! Vocabulary magic, that is. :) The goal is to learn our vocabulary words that go with our social studies unit on the U.S. states. The students match the words to a picture, then match the definitions to the word and the picture. Here are the kids in action:
In the book there are three mice there names are Pinkie, Pup, and Hopper. Pup is the smallest he is smaller then the baby mice. pinkie is tough and smart and hopper is an idiot and a scardy cat. They live in a cage in a pet shop. they want to get out before the skinny boy comes back with his snake the snake is a boa so deadly. so they think of a plan . the plan is ( to when the store keeper puts his hand in the cage and all the mice clime up the store keepers arm and to go down the power cord and go out the door because the boy always leaves the door open). they leave out the door then they start running down the side walk hopper runs with Pinkie but hopper slips down in to a tunnel and Pinkie is left behind. hopper sits on a train track and waits but the was a rumble out from the dark tunnels and there it was a train but out of know where the came a rat he was a prince. he told the little mouse the #1 rule STAY OFF THE TRACKS. the prince said that they should get going and the prince did not menschen that there are more rats after him.
my opinion is that the author includes lots and lots of detail
